What Happens During Your Hearing Appointment?
Our Hearing Health Check gives you the chance to fully understand how your ears and hearing are performing.
Here’s what the appointment includes:

Initial Consultation
We begin by learning a little about your medical background, lifestyle, and any symptoms you’ve noticed. -
Visual Ear Check
Using an otoscope, we look at the health of your ear canals and eardrums, checking for wax, infection, or anything unusual.

Hearing Assessment
You’ll wear headphones and listen to a range of tones. These responses create your audiogram, a clear chart showing how well you hear across different pitches and volumes.
Going Further: Understanding Your Hearing in Daily Life
If we detect hearing loss, we can explore how it’s affecting your day-to-day communication through advanced follow-up testing, including:

Speech recognition in both quiet and background noise

Assessment of how easily you become tired when listening

Aided word recognition – testing how well you process speech when supported by hearing technology
Should we find anything that needs medical attention, we’ll guide you through the next steps and refer you to the appropriate specialist if needed.
The Hearing Health Check costs £50, which covers the full appointment. If you choose to continue with a hearing solution, this fee is refunded. You’ll also benefit from a £100 discount on our full range of hearing aids.

Upon becoming an Audiologist in 2012, graduating with a degree in Audiology BSc from Porto, Portugal, Pedro set out on a mission to make a difference in people's lives. Through his work, in the UK since 2013 in both the NHS and private practices in London, Hampshire and the West Sussex area, Pedro discovered the incredible importance of maintaining a delicate balance between hearing, balance, and cognitive skill. Pedro has dedicated himself to finding innovative solutions to enhance these aspects for his patients. Hearing in noise can be a tremendous challenge, robbing individuals of the joy of social interactions and leaving them feeling isolated.
